What actually happens?
We apply a layer of gel to the treatment area in order to conduct laser light into the skin. The laser as actually placed onto the treatment area where the short pulses of light are directed. This is then moved along the treatment area until all required areas have been treated. This is all pain-free and after treatment we remove the gel. You have the option to use a soothing aloe vera gel if you wish.
Is there a way I can get even better results?
Yes, we recommend a carbon laser peel or facial two weeks prior to treatment. This will exfoliate the skin and remove dead cells ensuring a better result.

Does the treatment hurt?
Laser skin rejuvenation is a pain free treatment and most clients say it’s a pleasant sensation with no down time after treatment. Occasionally some clients say they experience a very mild warm pin prick sensation.
Are there any side effects?
Very occasionally the skin may be slightly red and very slightly swollen after treatment but this usually subsides quickly. We have heard that a small blister may form in rare cases and there can be temporary lightening or darkening of the skin. No Skin Beautiful clients have ever experienced this and any skin reactions usually disappear within a few hours.
What should I expect after the treatment?
Many people have no reaction but some experience a slight redness and warming of the skin. A cooling pack can be applied after treatment to calm the skin but the vast majority do not require this. You may see a darkening of any pigmented spots before they flake off, leading to a more even skin tone. Tightening of the skin should increase over the following months as new collagen is produced within the dermis.
How many treatments do I need?
Treatments are carried out every 4 weeks and 6 – 8 treatments are recommended for best results. Ongoing, people sometimes have an additional session once or twice a year.
